Welcome to Paperless Society
Paperless Society was created with the goal of forming a fun & educational space where news & ideas within crypto/defi can be discussed in a relatively unbiased way. We open up discussion on the pros/cons of varying concepts and projects as we interpret them, along with educational discussion about defi and terms within defi. We then welcome input from founders and the community to expand on these discussions.
Who is Paperless Society?
We are a couple of crypto and defi-crazy guys who can easily talk about what’s happening in the blockchain space all day long.
Our passion is to help others in this space, especially those new to the concepts. Helping them make sense of and evaluate this new world without shilling, bias or, underhanded pump and dump tactics.
We have a unique background and ability to re-assess situations based on the current information we have. Stinky has a background in physical chemistry and is currently studying finance, while Hyakki has a background in business and management.
We aim to replace emotions with more logical discussion to help expand your education and viewpoints on concepts/projects you may be involved with or considering getting into.
There are also plans to expand on the history of trends and some factors to keep in mind when evaluating your time horizon in crypto. This is a topic which is often dismissed or avoided, but that we find rather interesting.
Why Do We Do This?
Our vision is to serve the community and provide an open forum for discussion, dissecting projects and ideas to uncover the good, bad, and ugly of what is out there in the crypto/defi space.
In doing so, we contribute to the education of the broader community and ourselves, as well as promoting greater adoption of crypto as a whole.
We want to create a neutral place that can be fun, but most importantly, be more objective than a lot of the hype or fud talk going on in the space (as these actions are purely just to generate more interactions without teaching anything).
That is not to say every aspect will always be correct in our assessments or commentary, however our aim is to remain as open and transparent as possible in our conversations.
What Will We Deliver?
We will dissect euphoria, panic & fud and take a deep dive into if it is based on something real, or just popular opinions, which are very different bases to form an opinion on. Along with the possible outcomes and potential risks/upsides for the future.
We will peel back the hype and FOMO layers to look at what the underlying foundations of an idea or project are.
Stinky is addicted to giving ridiculous thought experiments at times. These will just be brain food hyperboles, not something to be taken super seriously.
We will open up our neutral forum to discuss things more logically with some level of thought rather than just mindlessly typing or talking; with a view that we all expand with greater awareness and conversation. We always remain open to others’ ideas and input.
We will be open to taking community feedback on new and existing projects. If we talk about them, then within a week or two, we will talk about the topic again. If our opinions remain the same, this will just be a short re-cap. If our opinion changes, we will walk through why it changed, and how new information changed our opinion.
How Will We Do This?
It all starts with a weekly scheduled Podcast every Sunday at 7pm AEST (Sunday 9am UTC) as our main discussion forum that will cover suggestions and a weekly dive into defi and crypto.
Our first podcast will be on FEBRUARY 20TH 7PM AEST / 9AM UTC
Stinky will be running an extra ad-hoc call during the week when the need for that is seen(day and time remains flexible). To open up discussion on any recent news and events (analysing past and recent events as well).
On a weekly basis, we will provide an ‘extra’ call every Saturday at 8:30pm AEST (Saturday 10:30am UTC) , being a round-up of all things COMB Financial since we are both mods for the Comb Financial discord group. They have supported us thus far, so we want to give back to the community. This is not a paid service, we do it to give back for the support shown.
